Noble-Amcat Software Architecture

Amcat's contact center solution is designed to integrate with a variety of software applications and business communication systems at many different levels due to its advanced layered architecture and design. It reflects a vision that has been over ten years in the making and stands at the cutting edge of contact management technology.

Amcat's system was designed from the ground up for integration and connectivity, laying the foundation for future growth, expansion and continued use of the Amcat product without obsolescence.

Key Features

N-tiered Client Server Architecture

The fundamental building block is the use of the 'N'-tiered client server architectural schema. This provides you with a number of layers and multiple methods of accessing software applications, design elements and equipment.

Familiar OS: Windows Operating System

The ever increasing reliability of the latest versions of Windows Server platform offers businesses the stability and scalability they need.

Advanced Standardized Database

The Amcat database design allows truly open access with viewable table structures, layouts and easy to understand long field names. Amcat software provides the ability to understand where your data is and how you can get to it for any important business operation. Amcat also employs database standards such as those found in Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle, both of which benefit from large numbers of readily available human resources.

Non-Proprietary Hardware Resources

Amcat purposefully selected industry leaders and manufacturers, such as Intel and Microsoft, for development of our service center software solution.  This enables the hardware to be obtainable, cost effective and well positioned for interoperability and resource sharing.  You can easily source compatible components, upgrade your hardware resources or add to your system.

Open Standards

Amcat uses known open standards in the architectural design. These standards were selected because of their flexibility, ease of use and availability of resources. All contain elements needed for future technology deployment, such as VoIP, messaging or Speech. Some of the architectural elements are:
  • Microsoft .NET Framework - The use of the Microsoft .NET framework removes barriers to data sharing and integrated software. Use of XML makes it easy to exchange data and to work with the data once it's received. The .NET framework also allows for rapid interoperability of your software products – even those that reside on mainframes.
  • Amcat Communication Framework - Amcat provides a modular, telephony structure to avoid the pitfalls of proprietary hardware design, proprietary software, and interoperability only within a single vendor’s product line. ACF provides the flexibility and openness to support a wide range of complementary products and suppliers.
  • NetMerge Call Processing (CT Connect) – Amcat has integrated Intel’s NetMerge Call Processing™ (formerly CT Connect) capabilities. This option preserves clients’ investments in legacy switches and other equipment and helps you to make the most of your current technology assets.
  • HTML Client Platform - One of the important building blocks in Amcat’s architecture is its HTML-based agent desktop application. This open source client platform is yet another method for you to access various data sources, other applications, or connect to an intranet or the Internet. Coupled with the user friendly Amcat Desktop Designer, you are able to create and deploy a client interface that is specific to your business needs – with little or no programmatic intervention.
  • Available API - Amcat provides an API (Application Programming Interface) for use by those clients that want even more interoperability and flexibility from the product. The provision of the documented API allows the client to use their existing software, such as CRM packages, mortgage loan packages or highly specialized collections packages as a tightly integrated solution.
